Under the DPDP Act, you (the Data Principal) have the following rights:

  • Right to Correction & Erasure: To update inaccurate data or request deletion of data that is no longer necessary.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: To register a complaint regarding data processing with our Data Protection Officer (DPO).
  • Right to Nominate: To nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time through our DSAR portal.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Third-Party Vendor & Data Processor Management

We work with trusted third-party data processors who adhere to the same high standards of data protection as we do. Under Section 8 of the DPDP Act 2023, we have executed data processing agreements with all our vendors to ensure they only process your data based on our explicit instructions and maintain robust security measures.

Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA)

For processing activities that involve high-risk data or large-scale data sets, we conduct mandatory Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) to identify and mitigate privacy risks before they materialize. This is part of our "Privacy by Design" approach.

Data Retention & Erasure

We retain your personal data only as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. Once the purpose is served, we ensure the secure erasure or de-identification of your personal data as per Section 12 of the DPDP Act.

6. Third-Party Sharing and Data Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers ("Data Processors") who assist us in operating our website and providing services (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery). These processors are contractually bound to protect your data and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfers

As per Section 16 of the DPDP Act, we primarily store and process your data within the territory of India. If any data transfer to a country or territory outside India is required, we ensure that such transfers comply with the guidelines and restrictions notified by the Central Government of India.

8. Children's Personal Data

In accordance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect or process personal data of children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it. Processing of children's data, if ever required for a specific service, will only be done with verifiable parental or guardian consent.

9. Data Security

We have implemented robust technical and organizational security measures, including 256-bit encryption, firewall protection, and restricted access controls, to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, breach, or disclosure.

12. Protection of Children (Section 9)

We do not knowingly collect or process personal data of individuals under the age of 18 without verifiable parental consent or the consent of a lawful guardian. Our website uses an automated age-verification gate as part of our consent mechanism to ensure compliance with the DPDP Act 2023.
